NUTEP box turnover (Novorossiiskк) down by 8%, Jan.-Oct. 2009

Box turnover of Novorossiisk Joint Freight-and-Forwarding Enterprise OJSC (NUTEP) decreased by 8% (to91,857 TEU) in January-October, 2009 against figures of 2008 reporting period, PortNews IAA learnt from press-service of National Container Terminal (managing company). NUTEP box turnover amounted to 13,164 TEU in October, 2009 (+10.5% to October, 2008 and +22,6% to September, 2009).

In October, 2009 7, 869 TEU was exported via NUTEP, 5, 295 TEU – was imported. The proportion of loaded and empty containers amounted to 57.53% and 42.47% respectively. The terminal has operated 13 vessels in October, 2009.

National Container Company (NCC) is the Russia’s largest container terminals operator, a leader in the stevedoring services market. First Quantum FESCO Transport Group holds equal share fractions of NCC. Overall box throughput of NCC’s terminals was over 1.7 mln TEU in 2008.
NCC assets include First Container Terminal (PKT), NUTEP container terminal (Novorssiisk), Ukrtranscontainer container terminal (Iliichevsk, Odessa region), Ust-Luga container terminal (Leningrad region) and backing container terminal and logistic centre logistics-Terminal (Shushary, St.-Petersburg).
