Australia bulker (174,000 tons dwt) to be loaded in port Yuzhny (the Ukraine)

Balker Australia has called at seaport Yuzhny (the Ukraine) water area. Its length is 303 m, width - 46 m, dedaweight – 174,000 tons. As per the port press-service information, the bulker will be loaded to its maximum allowed water draught in the port -14 m. Australia will take on board 124,000 tons of iron ore residuum. Upon the end of freight operations, Australia will be loaded at anchorage of the port of Kerch.

Yurii Kruk, Head of the port, informed it was planned to attract such a heavy-tonnage fleet into the port Yuzhny further on. As per him, enterprise specialists are working out the possibility of loading the vessels of over 18 m water draught at the port anchorage.


It is necessary to point out that TIS stevedoring company working in the territory of GP port Yuzhny, announced record figures of loading speed reached: 134, 381.949 tons of cargo was loaded on a dry cargo carrier Kassos Warrior within 64 hours 55 minutes. Kassos Warrior is 299.6 m long, 47 m wide, has a full draft  of 18 m, 195,000 ton deadweight.
