Net profit of Novorossiisk Commercial Seaport OJSC doubled (to RUR4 bln 268.644 mln) under Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) within 9 months, 2009 against corresponding period of 2008, as of accounting department of the enterprise. Company income increased by 55.6% (to RUR8 bln 955.821 mln) within the reporting period against 2008.
Within 9 months, 2009 NMTP OJSC income from handling operations increased by 50.6% as compared to the corresponding period of 2008, stated the report. The main factors that influenced income growth are volumes increase, changed structure of the cargoes transhipped as well as USD exchange rate growth against RUR.

In 2008, the Group’s throughput totaled 81.6 million tons. Its consolidated income under international financial reporting standards amounted to $653.777mln in 2008.
