Oktyabrskaya (October) Railroad announced it had stopped from March 1st until March 10th, all handling operations with containers. The company authorities ceased loading of empty containers of various sizes in container trains from the stations Avtovo and New Port, Gudok newspaper reported, citing Maxim Fishchuk, the Chief of Analytical Department of Logistics Center of the OZD Freight Traffic Management. The ban will be imposed on all empty containers of various sizes, regardless of the type of cargo. The measure has been introduced, Mr. Fishchuk said, to cut the loading and discharge operations time.
