Tuapse Seaport spends 58 million rubles for the 2009 environmental program, 26% over 2008

Tuapse Commercial Sea Port OJSC running its environmental program spent 58 million rubles last year, 26% more than it did in 2008, the press service of the stevedoring company said.
 
Of the overall sum the TCSP directed 35.6 million rubles to maintain its ecological fleet fighting emergency oil spills, liquidating pollution aftereffects.
 
5.8 million rubles were allocated on the project for a single sanitary protection zone for the groups of firms operating in Tuapse seaport, which will help reduce the negative impact on the environment.
 
8.2m and 9.2m rubles were spent for treatment facilities, permanent ecology monitoring and disposal of industrial waste.
 
Tuapse Commercial Sea Port OJSC is the main stevedore operator at Tuapse Port, one of the largest ports in Russia. Universal Cargo Logistics Holding (UCL Holding) holds 69.52% stake in the TCSP Company.
