Admiralteysky Verfy sees a threefold spike in sales revenue, up to $856m this year

Admiralteysky Verfy, Shipyards (St. Petersburg) plans to have this year as much as three times growth in output, up to 23-25b rubles, ($788m-$856m). The last year’s total manufactured production by the Shipyard was at 6.5b rubles, in Q1, 2010 – 9.5b rubles, Admiralteysky General Director Vladimir Alexandrov said in an interview with journalists.

According to Mr. Alexandrov, United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) is trying to optimize its shipyards cost whose profitability currently stands at 15% and below.

Admiralteysky Verfy (part of Western Center of Shipbuilding of United Shipbuilding Corporation), the oldest Russian shipbuilder, was founded back in 1704. The Shipyard specializes in submarines construction. To date, the Company has built more than 300 submarines (including 41 with nuclear power engines), 68 deep and underwater vessels.
