TNK BP to boost monthly volumes of VGO, diesel fuel via Volga

This year TNK BP plans to increase monthly volumes of vacuum gasoil and diesel fuel shipped through the Volga River up to 100,000 tons and 60,000 tons respectively, the Company statement said. The freight traffics on Volga, opened recently, allows TNK BP’s facilities at Uvek Oil Depot of SaratovNefteProdukt ojsc and Saratov Refinery ojsc to transship petroleum products to consumers round-the-clock. Uvek’s OD daily throughput rose to 8.000 tons as Saratov Refinery’s Terminal handles 3.000 tons a day. Saratov facility applies a new technological scheme, which helps to handle all brands of diesel fuel, produced at the factory.

This April, Uvek Oil Depot plans transshipment of 35.000 tons of fuel via the Volga River.  

TNK-BP is the third biggest oil company in Russia and is equally owned by BP and the AAR Consortium (Alfa Group / Access Industries / Renova). TNK-BP also owns around 50% of Russian oil & gas company Slavneft. TNK-BP produces around 16% of Russia’s oil output (Including TNK-BP’s share in Slavneft). As o f December 31, 2009, the company’s total proven reserves under SEC rules without taking account of license cut-off amounted to 8.586 bln boe.
