Summer navigation in harborage of Big Port of St. Petersburg and Vysotsk starts from May 1st

As the warm weather has set in, the harborage cleared of ice, Harbormaster Peter Parinov announces in his order (April 26, N57) this year’s summer navigation in the waters of the seaports Big Port of St. Petersburg will begin after midnight, May 1, 2010, the press office of St. Petersburg branch of RosMorPort reports.

By his order (N12/2010) Igor Zolotykh, acting Harbormaster of Vysotsk Port of RosMorPort’s Vyborg-Vysotsky branch has announced today all Ice Class restrictions are removed at the port of Vysotsk from midnight April 28th, icebreaking services/surcharges cease to be effective from midnight April 30, and summer navigation officially begins from midnight, May 1st in the harborage of Port of Vysotsk.

The same navigation regulations have come into force at the port of Ust-Luga.
