Fujian volume up 25.6pc in first half to 4.09 million TEU

Southeast China's Fujian province recorded a 25.6 per cent in port container movement to 4.09 million TEU in the first half year, reports Xinhua.
The province's Fuzhou port moved 711,000 TEU with a increase of 27.8 per cent while Xiamen port handled 2.74 million TEU, up 28.3 per cent year on year.
Ports in the province posted a 0.9 per cent growth in throughput to 152 million tonnes in the first half year. Among the volume, the Xiamen port handled 65.2 million tonnes with a 20.6 per cent growth while Fuzhou port registered a 21.7 per cent drop to 37.8 million tonnes.
