Ust-Luga container terminal starts in 2010, to handle 400,000 TEUs a year

The first-phase of the Ust-Luga Container Terminal (ULCT) is scheduled to be launched in 2011, PortNews IAA reports citing the National Container Company (NCC), the project investor. The first-phase project will boost the terminal capacity to 400,000 TEUs a year. The project means construction of berths N3 and N4 with length 440 m, the births’ rear area completion, dredging water area to 13,5 m, the launch of the port’s access roads and railways, reception of cargo handling equipment (4 STS, 1911 RTG, 2 RMG).
