The world’s leading maritime service network, Wilhelmsen Ships Service, has appointed a new Sales Director for its Asia Pacific region. Mr. Sean Neilan takes up the position on 1 December 2010.
Mr. Bjørn Tønsberg, Vice President Asia Pacific, Wilhelmsen Ships Service Singapore comments, “Sean will lead and drive the sales strategies in the region with close cooperation of the Area Sales Teams. He will also actively participate in and communicate the offers of all our market segments, initiatives and activities. Mr. Neilan brings with him vast experience in sales and strategic account management. His previous role was as Area Sales Manager for Wilhelmsen Ships Service South-East Asia which is invaluable preparation for the challenging role of Sales Director.”
Mr. Neilan comments; “This is an exciting time to be working in Asia Pacific. And to be selected as Sales Director for this region is a huge honour, especially when you take into account the ambitious growth targets that have been set and need to be achieved. Plans are already underway to restructure our sales force, and getting this right will be key to delivering our ambitions for increased market penetration. A lot of hard work and challenges lie ahead, but I look forward to working closely with each of the Area Sales Teams and delivering the sales strategies for the region.”
