Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych signed an agreement that would boost oil imports from Russia, according to Bloomberg.
The two presidents told reporters that Russia will ship 18.5 million metric tonnes of oil annually to the Ukraine for processing at refineries and for further export.
Bloomberg further reported that the amount of oil exported will depend on how much Ukraine uses.
The two presidents also discussed gas prices and energy issues that would allow Russia's and Ukraine's economies to develop.
