OCSP’s cargo throughput down 11.4% in Jan-Nov to 22.35m tons

The volume of freight handled by Odessa Commercial Sea Port (OCSP, Ukraine) in 11 months of 2010 totaled 22,355.3 tons, a 11.4-percent decline from last year’s result, the state-owned enterprises statistics said.
 
In January-November, the stevedore company handled 12 million 75.2 thousand tons of dry cargo (-20.6%) and 10 million 280.1 thousand tons of liquid cargo (+2, 6%). Container throughput of Odessa CSP in the reporting period rose by 36.7% to 314,604TEUs.

State-owned Odessa Commercial Sea Port is one of the largest ports of the Black Sea-Azov Basin. The OCSP’s facilities allow the stevedoring company to handle annually over 14 million tons of dry cargo and 14 million tons of liquid bulk cargo. Last year, OCSP’s cargo throughput shrank by 19% year-over-year, to 28.007 million tons.
