The volume of crude oil shipment through Murmansk port-based Belokamenka floating storage and offloading facility (FSO) in January-November amounted to 11,8 million tons (including loaded and off-loaded volume to the FSO vessel), PortNews reports quoting Andrei Aprelenko, General Director of Rosnefteflot (operator of FSO facility).
Over the six years more than 60 million tons of crude oil have been transshipped through Belokamenka, of which more than 30 million tons - for export. The company plans to ship by the year-end over 15 million tons of oil.
Since the FSO launch, there have been about 2,000 ships charged from Belokamenka tanker, of which more than 300 were export crude carriers of 100,000 dwt, which paid over $ 13m of port fees.
"We are confident that over the next 2-3 years FSO Belokamenka has a guaranteed oil volume not less than the previous volume of transshipment", said Andrei Aprleneko.
