In the 11-month period exports fell about 8%, while imports volume and coastal traffic surged by 57% and 59% respectively, the company said.
The stevedore handled for the period 3,629,000 tons of outbound goods, 1,394,600 tons of inbound cargo and 1,443,700 tons of coastal traffic goods.
Container throughput of CPV reached 307,851 TEUs. That includes 113,206 TEUs of exported containers, 98,145 TEUs of imported ones and 9,335 TEUs carried by coasters.
In November, CPV handled 463,000 tons of cargo. Exports monthly volume amounted to 170,700 tons, imports - 158,600 tons, coastal trade - 133,400 tons.
Containerized cargo monthly volume totaled 29,933 TEUs, including in cabotage – 9,335 TEUs, imports – 10,224 TEUs and exports – 10,374 TEUs.
Andrey Malko said that at the current pace the stevedore company’s cargo handling can reach by the end of December 7 million tons.
OJSC Commercial Port of Vladivostok, part of FESCO Transport Group, owns and operates its assets at the port of Vladivostok, one of the largest seaports in the Russia’s Far East. CPV’s portfolio of assets includes 17 berths with facilities to transship grain, containerized cargoes, to handle passenger vessels, and autos. In 2009 the stevedore company handled 6,205,100 tons of cargo, a 4.9-percent gain year-over-year.
