OOCL orders two 8,888-TEU vessels from Hudong

On 14 December 2010, OOCL entered into a Shipbuilding Contract with Hudong for the construction of two 8,888 TEU vessels, the shipping company's press release said.

"This is not a discloseable transaction under the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Rules. We remain committed to meeting the needs of our customers and we would like to share this news with our valued customers about these newbuilds added to our fleet. We continue to commit substantial investment in assets to support the growth of our customers and the expansion of world trade," the company said.
