Primorsk Oil Terminal's throughput down 2.1% to 70,7m tons in Jan-Nov

Export shipments of crude oil and petroleum products via Primorsk Oil Terminal in the 11-month period of this year shrank by 2.1% from the same period a year earlier to 70,711,500, the Port Authority of Big Port of St. Petersburg said.

According to the Port Authority statistics, the Terminal handled 65,424,000 tons of crude oil (-4.3% yoy) and 5,287,500 tons of diesel fuel (+35.3%).

Primorsk Oil Terminal located on the north bank of the Gulf of Finland, some 50 km northwest of St.Petersburg, is the largest port designed for exports of oil and petroleum products in the Northwest region of Russia. The port is the end point of the Baltic Pipeline System (BPS) and the main oil pipeline network Kstovo-Yaroslavl-Kirishi-Primorsk (the project "North"), of JSC Transnefteproduct . The POT’s exports throughput in 2009 amounted to 79,157,200 tons of oil and diesel fuel. There were 1,869 calls at the port last year (935 arrivals + 934 departures).
