Rosneft, Calik form JV for bunkering operations

The largest Russian oil company Rosneft and the Turkish energy holding Calik have entered into agreement establishing a joint venture (JV) for bunkering vessels, Rosneft CEO Edward Hudaynatov told reporters, RIA Novosti reports.

The 50/50 Russian-Turkish JV will be engaged in bunker supply and petroleum products sales, Mr. Hudaynatov said.

"This will be charging ships at sea, not only in Turkey but in the Black Sea and in the Bosporus as well," RIA Novosti quoted Mr. Hudaynatov as saying.

Rosneft and Calik can also become partners in the construction of the Samsun-Ceyhan oil pipeline. Earlier, Wednesday, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin had said Rosneft and Transneft can get 25% each in the project of Calik and Italy's Eni.
