Klaipedos Nafta, Transchema sign a deal on Venezuelan oil shipment

On Wednesday, Klaipedos Nafta and Transchema (a subsidiary of the Belarusian oil company BNK) signed an agreement on the transportation of Venezuelan oil cargo via the Klaipedos Nafta terminal, the Baltic Course reports citing LETA/ELTA agency.

The parties to the contract undertake to handle the cargo only if both have the necessary capabilities.

"The format of the agreement does not allow predicting the volume of cargo or its frequency, but it is important to us as a clear signal of Belarus indicating that their wish to load Venezuelan oil cargo through the Klaipeda oil terminal has not disappeared, our relations remain friendly, and negotiations on specific arrangements will continue," CEO of Klaipedos Nafta Rokas Masiulis said.
