Committee OKs checkpoint at Tamanneftegas Terminal

Interdepartmental Committee found the reconstructed border-crossing checkpoint at the Russian Federation border at CJSC Tamanneftegas Terminal (the seaport of Taman) in compliance with requirements for construction, reconstruction, equipment and technical equipment of buildings, premises and facilities necessary for arrangement of border, customs and other controls, says the press service of the Federal Agency for the Arrangement of the State border (Rosgranitsa). The Committee has signed the certificate establishing that the checkpoint meets all the necessary technical requirements. Rosgranitsa is to prepare and approve the order opening the border-crossing point on the territory of Tamanneftegas terminal. As the PortNews has reported earlier Tamanneftegas JSC has been constructing a terminal for handling liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), oil and petroleum products at the port of Taman (the Taman Peninsula in the vicinity of Zhelezny Rog cape in Krasnodar Territory). The completion of the first phase of the terminal was rescheduled for February 2011.
