LUKOIL-Bunker’s Gokdeniz starts operating in the roads of Istanbul

The new bunker barge Gokdeniz operated by Istanbul Ihrakiye, a LUKOIL-Bunker’s Turkish branch started providing offshore bunkering to ships at the port of Istanbul and in Izmit Bay on December 9 this year. The bunker barge has double-bottom, double-sides hull.  The first supply of fuel oil and gasoil was made to the Ocean Winner, the company’s press release said.

The double-bottom, double-sides barge is able to bunker simultaneously 900 tons of fuel oil and 130 tons of gasoil.

Now, the LUKOIL-Bunker Istanbul Ihrakiye’s fleet of bunker fleet totals 7 vessels: 3 bunker barges, supplying both fuel and gasoil, and 4 barges supplying gasoil.

The LUKOIL-Bunker’s Turkish branch launched bunkering operations in March 2010. Currently, the company provides offshore bunkering (gasoil 0.1 and all grades of marine fuel oil) to ships at Istanbul and Izmit Bay.

LUKOIL-Bunker is a subsidiary of the Russian oil giant LUKOIL. The Company specializes in supply of marine fuel at sea and river ports of the Russian Federation and Bulgaria and MFO wholesale supply. The company is rated among the top largest suppliers of bunker oil products at Russian ports.
