he terminal in Jieyang, Guangdong province, the sixth for the state-run oil company in China, would cost 8.8 billion yuan ($1.3 billion), the Ministry of Environmental Protection said on its website www.mep.gov.cn.
The investment will include a berth to anchor LNG vessels of between 80,000 and 267,000 cubic metres and a gas pipeline of 170 kilometres.
The report did not give a timeline for when the project would start operations.
