On January 31, 2011, the Finnish shipping company Bore will start up a new liner service between Helsinki and Oxelösund under the name of HelOx Line. Initially, Bore’s 1,400 lane metre ro-ro vessel Borden will operate on the route with three weekly sailings in each direction. Lindholm Shipping will be the agent both in Sweden and Finland. The Swedish company will open a new office in Helsinki.
”We see a great potential in the Oxelösund–Helsinki route and our intention is to introduce another vessel on the route in May 2011. This will be the first ro-ro service from Helsinki’s new port to the Swedish east coast”, says Jhonny Husell, Executive VP Commercial of Bore.
Bore has not operated a liner service of its own since 1991, when thf Bore Line operation was sold to Finnlines.
