Japan's top city gas distributor Tokyo Gas Co said on Wednesday it has reached a basic agreement to sell liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Hokkaido Gas (9534.T) for 11 years starting in the 2012/13 business year.
Tokyo Gas will deliver via a large vessel to Hokkaido Gas's Ishikari LNG terminal, which is set to start operations in December 2012. Volumes will be decided later, a Tokyo Gas spokesman said.
Tokyo Gas has not decided which LNG to deliver, but it would decide from multiple LNG projects, the spokesman said.
