As of 10am (LT), Dec. 27, there have been some 700 trucks delayed at the Burachki automobile checkpoint of Sebezhsky Customs (Russian-Latvian border), the North West Customs Directorate press service said.
Cars traffic to Russia via Torfyanovka, Lingonberry and Svetogorsk (Vyborg customs) was free. However, there are 130 trucks and 60 cars at Torfyanovka, 15/90 at Brusnichny and 15/40 at Svetogorsky customs posts still waiting at the Russian border side.
There was also a congestion of over 200 trucks and cars at Estonia-Russia border At least 150 trucks and 35 cars were delayed at Latvia-Russia border.
Over the past day Vyborg customs offices have processed 1,419 trucks and 4,897 cars. Kingiseppskoye customs handled 159 trucks and 1042 cars. Pskov customs - 498 trucks and 2,290 cars. Sebezhsky customs - 799 trucks and 555 cars. Overall, 54,600 people have passed recently through the Russia’s border crossing points, the NWCD said.
