Russian export oil duty increase effective from Jan 1, 2011

The rate of export duty on Russian crude oil will increase from $303.8 to $ 317.5 a ton, effective from January 1, 2011. The government’s decree (Dec. 24, № 1110) was inked by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. The document was published today in Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

Export duty on crude oil from the East Siberia’s 22 oil provinces and two fields in the Northern Caspian Sea will be increased from January 1, 2011 to $117.5 a ton vs $108, established in December 2010. Export duty on light oil products grows from $217 to $ 226.2 a ton, on heavy oil - from $ 116.9 to $ 121.9 a ton, effective from January 1, 2011.

Export duty on propane, butane, ethylene, propylene, butylene, butadiene and other liquefied gases will rise to $149.3 from $118.1 a ton, established in December 2010.
