The Marshall Island-flagged, Germany-owned MV MARIDA MARGUERITE was released today from pirate control, EU NAVFOR press release said.
The 13,168dwt vessel was attakced and seized on the morning of 8 May 2010 nearly 120 nm South of Salalah, Oman. The ship had a crew of 22 (19 Indian, 1 Ukrainian and 2 Bangladeshi). She was heading for Antwerp, Holland, when taken by pirates. The report does not give any details of the ship release.
