COSCO raises terminal handing charges

COSCO Container Lines will be raising its terminal handling charges (THC) on shipments between China and Europe, and also on shipments between the Far East and Israel, according to American Shipper.
Details to the new THCs can be found below:
* THCs between China and Europe will be $87 per 20-foot container and $135 per 40-foot container for all Chinese ports (THCs will only apply to import shipments at ports in Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan and Hainan provinces).
* THCs between Taiwanese and European ports will be $187 per 20-foot container and $235 per 40-foot container and will come into affect January 10, 2011.
* COSCO THCs for all shipments between the Far East and Israel are $175 per 20-foot container, $255 per 40-foot container, $220 per 20-foot reefer container and $315 per 40-foot reefer container. THCs in this area will come into effect January 1, 2011.
