SIPG and Yibin city open Yangtze river port

Yibin city and Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG) have jointly opened China-Yibin port in Sichuan on the Yangtze river. The first phase of the port has seen the construction of four containership berths and one RORO berth that will enable the port to handle 500,000teu and 10,000 vehicles on an annual basis. The port will be the largest in the Sichuan area and anticipates hitting its target of 2m teu in container throughput by 2020.
