Evergreen Marine recovers to profit in Q1

Container liner Evergreen Marine Corp has posted a first quarter net profit as shipping volumes rose on the back of global economic recovery, Seatrade-asia reports. The Taiwan-listed firm recorded net profit of NT$1.31bn ($45.8m) in the first quarter, surfacing from a net loss of NT$87m a year earlier. Evergreen's revenue, however, dipped to NT$3.69bn compared to NT$3.71bn a year ago.
