FCT’s box volume grows 4.7% to 369,370 TEUs

Container throughput of St. Petersburg-based First Container Terminal (FCT) in January-April increased by 4.7% from the same period of 2010, to 376,369 twenty-foot equivalent units, the press service of National Container Company reports. In April, container traffic rose by 16.3% to112,611 TEUs.

In April, the terminal handled 72 box ships, 54,164 TEUs of export containers, 58,447 TEUs of import containers and 18,227 TEUs of reefer containers. The average turnover per vessel was 1,564 TEUs.

In January-April, throughput of Logistics-Terminal was 26,283 TEUs. In April, the terminal handled 10,288 TEUs.
