Construction of the new Passenger Port of St. Petersburg "Marine Façade" is implemented through the public-private partnership. The port waters dredging, construction of approach canal, reconstruction of Petrovsky fairway in 2005 was funded through the federal budget. In addition, the federal government financed the creation at the Port of checkpoints across the state border, the purchase and installation of navigation equipment, ensuring safe navigation in port waters. Private entities have invested into reclamation works, the construction of quay walls, buildings, stations and facilities, the port management center, roads and engineering infrastructure.
