The Presidium of the Russian Government at a meeting on May 17, 2011 will consider a draft bill "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation in connection with the implementation of measures to support the Russian shipbuilding and navigation," the government's press service reported.
The draft bill had been prepared by the Russian Ministry of Transport jointly with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the United Shipbuilding Corporation. The bill provides for introduction of protectionist measures in relation to the country's shipping companies and shipbuilding enterprises, including tax breaks.
