Dry cargo vessel operator Navios Maritime Partners L.P. agreed to buy two vessels -- a panamax and a capesize vessel -- from Navios Maritime Holdings Inc for about $130 million, Reuters reports.The two vessels -- Navios Orbiter and Navios Luz -- are currently under charter contracts, and the company expects the vessels to generate an aggregate base EBITDA of $122.3 million over the term of the contracts.
Navios Maritime Partners said the acquisition will be financed with an additional $35 million under an existing credit facility and $85 million with cash on its balance sheet.
It will also issue 507,916 of its common units.
Navios Maritime Partners shares closed at $19.40 on Wednesday on the New York Stock Exchange.
