China COSCO, Asia’s largest shipping company by market value, has appointed Rita Fan as independent non-executive director with effect from May 17, it said in a stock exchange filing on Tuesday night, Xinhua reports. Rita Fan, 65, was the president of the Provisional Legislative Council of Hong Kong in 1997, and has been re-elected as the president of the first, second and third Legislative Council of Hong Kong. She has served as the president of the legislature of Hong Kong for 11 years.
