Net loss of JSC PO Sevmash in 2010 decreased by as much as 3.4 times from last year’s figures, to RUB 692,944,000, ITAR-TASS reported.
Revenues of the company increased by 19.1% to RUB 41,935,229,000. Loss from sales for the year was RUB 27,443,000 vs profit of RUB 592,701,000 in 2009.
Severodvinsk-based Northern Machine-Building Enterprise (PO Sevmash) was established in 1936. Currently, Sevmash is the only nuclear submarine producer in Russia.Since 1939, the enterprise has built 45 warships, 163 submarines (128 of them nuclear-powered). The company also has built more than 100 civilian vessels of various types and purposes (tugs, mini-bulk carriers, pontoons, barges, fish farms) for international customers.
