The bill supporting Russia's shipbuilding and shipping industry has been approved in general by the Russian Government, Prime Minister’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the Kommersant.
The government on Tuesday reviewed the draft law "On Amendments to Some Legislative Acts in Support of Shipbuilding and Shipping", which had been agreed with key ministries. The Ministry of Industry and Trade said the bill should be brought before the Russian parliament until the end of May 2011 in accordance with the order of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation jointly with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the United Shipbuilding Corporation had developed the draft federal law aimed at support of Russia's shipping and shipbuilding companies and the industry.
