Oil spilled at Ilyichevsk dockyard from repaired tanker

Some fuel and lubricants were released into waters of Ilyichevsk Shipyard from the tanker Volgoneft-263 being repaired at the dockyard, the Emergencies Ministry of Ukraine reported. Oil spill response teams have deployed slick bars. There are 2 skimmers at the site. There were no threats to the environment, the Ministry said.

The repairing dock sank yesterday due to the negligence of employees who did not close the damper during the renovations.
