Zaliv Shipyard secures PSV contract from Norwegian company

Kerch-based Zaliv Shipyard (Crimea, Ukraine) was awarded a contract for construction a platform supply vessel (PSV, Project 832 CD) from Norwegian shipping company Argali Holdings Ltd., the shipbuilding company’s press service said. The cost of the order was not disclosed.

The shipyard by arrangement with the customer acquired the ship project from a design bureau of Havyard International AS (Norway), said the Board Chairman of Zaliv Shipyard Nikolay Kuzmenko. The Ukrainian company will continue to acquire the components that previously were delivered on similar contracts by the customer.

The shipyard plans to start the PSV construction in late May. The delivery is scheduled for early January 2012. The project is funded by OTR Vank.

Zaliv Shipyard JSC specializes in building and repair of various types of vessels. A 37.94-percent stake in Zaliv Shipyard is owned by Private Limited Company Forth Asset (UK).
