Estonian ferry operator Tallink said in a statement Thursday it would introduce fuel surcharges next week, NewsRoom Finland reported.
"As much as we dislike adding the fuel surcharge, it is necessary due to the fuel prices today," Peter Roose, head of sales and marketing at Tallink.
The statement said the surcharges would be levied on bookings made from 1 June at eight euros a passenger each way on the Helsinki-Rostock line and at two euros a passenger each way on all other services.
