India to inject $60bn in national ports expansion project

The Indian government has announced that, in partnership with the private sector, it is to invest $60 billion into the national port network by 2020 to accommodate increasing levels of growth, PortStrategy reported.

One of the crucial measures adopted will be to deepen draft to ensure ports can accommodate modern container vessels.
