GPN Marine Bunker bunker sales soar 37 percent in Jan-Sept
Sales of bunker fuel by Gazpromneft Marine Bunker for nine recent months of 2011 surged by 37 percent year-on-year, to 1,541,000 tons, the company said Friday.
This summer, the company expanding its business commenced bunkering operations in Nizhny Novgorod, at the port of Korsakov on Sakhalin Island, and at the southern port of Taman. As of today, the company has boosted its share in the bunker market of the Far East and the Black Sea to about 10%.
This September GPN Marine Bunker expanded its own fleet of 8 vessels with a new 3000dwt bunker tanker purchased for operation at the port of Novorossiysk and plans to acquire another one by the end of the year. Besides, the company operates 15 ships on time charter.
Gazpromneft Marine Bunker LLC, a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft, is in charge of bunker fuel supplies to marine and river vessels. The company established in 2007 currently has two subsidiaries: Gazpromneft Shipping, which manages the Company’s fleet and Gazpromneft Terminal operating the company’s tank farm based in St Petersburg.
