Rosneft’s Tuapse facility starts oil exports handling
Port of Tuapse-based terminal owned by Rosneft has begun shipments of crude oil. The official inauguration ceremony for the new waterfront complex was attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Kremlin press office said.
The deepwater mooring facility of Tuapse refinery consists of two lines of berths for loading of petroleum products onto tankers with a capacity of 80,000 tons. The facility projected capacity is 7 million tons of oil products a year.
President Putin also was informed about the dynamics of Rosneft’s oil production, the federal budget revenues, including those from the privatization of Rosneft, the company’s programs for modernization of oil refining and major projects of Rosneft on the shelf of the Black Sea and in Western Siberia.
Vladimir Putin also attended an official signing ceremony between Rosneft and the U.S. ExxonMobil for an agreement to jointly develop hard-to-extract resources in Western Siberia. Vladimir Putin met with Chairman of the Board of Directors of ExxonMobil Rex Tillerson.
CJSC Rosnefteflot has been engaged in newbuilds orders and supervising the construction, both in the interest of Rosneft, and for other companies. For the past 14 years, under the supervision of Rosnefteflot the Russian and foreign shipyards have built 25 vessels for various purposes. Today, Rosnefteflot has in operation 27 vessels of various classes. In 2011, the company implemented the projects for commissioned new bunkering tankers in the ports of Murmansk and Tuapse.
