19 shipbuilding and ship repair enterprises to be privatized in 2009

RF Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has singed a Decree on inclusion of 19 shipbuilding and ship repair enterprises into the list of open joint stock companies the shares of which are planned to be privatized in 2009. According to the Government materials, the list comprises: 33th Ship Repair Plant of the MoD (Baltiysk, Kaliningrad region), 92th and 178th ship repair plants of Vladivostok, 179th ship repair plant of Khabarovsk, Admiralty Shipyards (St. Petersburg), Far Eastern Plant Zvezda (Bolshoi Kamen), Zelenodolsk Design Bureau (Zelenodolsk, Republic of Tatarstan), Production Association (Severnoe machinebuilding enterprise of Severodvinksk, St.-Petersburg Maritime Bureau of Machine-Building Malachite, North-East Repair Center (Viluchinsk, Kamchatka Territory), Severnoe Design Bureau (St. Petersburg), Severnoe Production Association Arctica (Severodvinsk), Research Design-Technological Bureau "Onega" (Severodvinsk), (St. Petersburg), State Center of Ship Repair Zvezdochka (Severodvinsk), Central Maritime Design Bureau "Almaz" (St.-Petersburg), Central Design Bureau "Rubin" (St.-Petersburg), Khabarovsk Shipyard, Special Design Bureau of Electro Chemistry with its experimental plant (Moscow).

The open JSC OSK (United Shipbuilding Corporation) with 100% federal ownership has been formed in Russia according to the Presidential Decree dated March 22, 2007. OSK comprises three daughter companies: Open JSC «Western Center of Shipbuilding» (St.-Petersburg), Open JSC «Northern Center of Shipbuilding and Ship Repair» (Severodvinsk, Arkhangelsk region) and Open JSC «Far East Center of Shipbuilding and Ship Repair» (Vladivostok).

Earlier Vladimir Putin said that all arrangements for setting up the United Shipbuilding Corporation must be completed by April 1. Putin also said a Decree on transfer of other 19 enterprises to United Shipbuilding Corporation was to be signed.
