Dmitriyenko sworn in as new Murmansk governor

Dmitry Dmitriyenko was yesterday first approved by the Murmansk regional parliament and then sworn in as the region’s new governor.
According to the Murmansk parliament website, the candidacy of Mr. Dmitriyenko was approved by 27 of the 31 members of the regional assembly. All the leaders of the parliament fractions had from before expressed their support to Mr. Dmitriyenko. Also Head of the Northwest Russian Federal District Ilya Klebanov was present at the vote, BarentsObserver reports.
In the inauguration ceremony, more than 500 prominent regional and federal guests were assembled to hear Dmitriyenko read the inauguration oath. -The most important task now is to prevent any possible collapse in the working regime. We will have the best results when people do not fell the change of governor, [at least not] in the first phase, he said, the Murman Radio and TV station reports.
Regional political leaders positively assess the choice of new governor. –This is well-qualified specialist, who is ready for dialogue, several parliament deputies told the broadcaster.
Leader of the Communist Party fraction said the parliament deputies got professional answers, that Dmitry Dmitriyenko as deputy leader of the State Fishery Agency has been engaged in the new Russian fish quota system, that he has worked with port infrastructure management and not at least that he supports the development of fish procession in the region.
