OT Logistics to set up a new terminal in Gdańsk
The company has won the bid for leasing 23.5 hectares of area in the Port of Gdańsk for the next 30 years, said in the company's press release.
OT Logistics, the company specializing in inland waterway freight shipping as well as in sea & rail cargo forwarding across Poland and Germany, plans to construct a new open-access and deep-water dry bulk terminal just between DCT Gdańsk and Sea-Invest’s dry bulk terminal Port Północny.
The company will invest approx. EUR 72 mln in developing the sea & land infrastructure. The new terminal will handle chiefly dry bulk such as coal, steel, fertilizers, agriculture products and biomass.
OT Logistics also owns 95% shares of the Port Handlowy Świnoujście in which the company plans to establish a container terminal. Most recently, the Port of Świnoujście has been added to Eimskip’s ‘Blue Line’ service; up-to-date it is the only regular box rotation covering Świnoujście.
