PRISCO’s tanker Zaliv Amurskiy completes her first Arctic voyage
Zaliv Amurskiy, tanker of Primorsk Shipping Corporation (PRISCO), completed her first Arctic voyage on October 22, 2013. The vessel arrived at Antwerp for unloading of diesel fuel delivered via the Northern Sea Route, PRISCO press center says.
This tanker was the first vessel of PRISCO to use ECDIS instead of conventional navigational charts.
The company’s Zaliv Baikal tanker assisted by nuclear icebreaker Taimyr is currently sailing along the Sannikov Strait. Upon completion of the voyage, she will be the second (after Zaliv Amurskiy) vessel of PRISCO to shift to ECDIS.
