According to preliminary results of Murmansk Region Governor elections, over 64% of the electorate voted for the acting head of the region, Marina Kovtun, press center of the regional government says. Voters turnout exceeded 30%.
Marina Kovtun says she is going to consistently implement the programme based on the Strategy for the social and economic development of the Murmansk Region through 2025.
Major tasks set by Marina Kovtun for herself and for the regional authorities are handling the problems of the region’s fuel and energy industry and modernization of medical healthcare system.
