  Colombo Port city project to transform Colombo city landscape

  

  The landscape of the Colombo City will be transformed with the completion of the Colombo Port city project on which the China Harbour Engineering Company is investing US$ 1.5 billion under the first phase, Colombo Port said in its press release.

  The company has also been awarded the construction contract of the entire project which is to be completed in five years. The company has organized an international team from different countries to carry out the construction of the Colombo Port city which comprises high rise buildings, shopping complexes, apartments, golf course and business centres.

  According to Vice President of China Harbour Company in Beijing Shi yingtao, the project which is to be fully operational in five years will become a business hub in the region.
