An Agreement on Cooperation in implementation of investment projects on construction of multipurpose and dedicated transshipment complexes at seport Indiga and on reconstruction of commercial seaport of Naryan-Mar (Nenets Autonomous Region) was signed in Sochi on September 19, 2014, within the framework of the international economic forum Sochi-2014, FSUE Rosmorport says.
The document was signed by Rosmorport Director General Andrei Tarasenko, First Deputy Governor of Nenets Autonomous Region Yevgeny Alekseyev and Director General of Nenets Oil Company Vladimir Khviyuzov.
The Agreement is supposed to ensure the cooperation of the parties in development of the Declaration of Intent to invest in the construction of the mentioned facilities.
The port of Naryan-Mar is located in the Nenets autonomous region, some 70 miles from Pechora river mouth. In summer period, the port has sea transport connection with the ports of Arkhangelsk and Amderma and river transport connections with the river port of Pechora and settlements along the Pechora.
Total length of berths at the port of Naryan-Mar is 384.55 meters, throughput capacity of cargo terminals - 500 t. The only stevedoring company operating at the port is Naryan-Mar Commercial Seaport OJSC (Rosimushchestvo is the company’s sole shareholder).
A floating LNG plant is to be located near Indiga. It is to be connected with the Pechora fields by a 300-km long pipeline. The project is being implemented by ALLTECH Group. Commissioning of the plant is scheduled for the end of 2018.
